What am I Lord?

NO FOUNDATION IN THIS WORLD
Truth exists
Beyond the illusions portrayed
By corporations and the popular media
We are spirits in a material world
Temporal wrapped in flesh
In a breath we are gone
Our hearts exist
Your heart beats
My heart beats
Only for so long
Then they stop
God knows the number of our days
God knows the number of hours, minutes, seconds and so forth
We do not
What is vanity?
The world will go on without you
The world will go on without me
Jesus Christ teaches and lives
Our lives are more than the accumulation of resources
Pills, creams and plastic surgery
Men and women trying to stave off time
Instead of aging gracefully and accepting the inevitability of death
What is this fear about?
What is there to hold onto within this mortal realm?
Money, property, education, reputation some historic reference point?
At most, to know God as a mortal and to give one’s life to him
Is the greatest act any human may commit
The second being assisting others to do so
No matter how one cares for or feeds another
Their mortal life will end
Either in the lap of luxury
In the throes of poverty
Or somewhere in between
Yet he or she will live
Trillion upon trillion of eternal years in heaven or hell
Based on a decision made within this spec of time known as mortality
To either accept or reject our Lord and Savior; Jesus Christ
Well established men and women
So called pillars of the community
They are sinners too
All fleeting vanity
How many times do humans have to be disappointed
Before realizing all flesh is flawed and sinful
All have sinned and come short of the Glory of God
Jesus Christ was the only one
Who wore human flesh and never sinned
Jesus Christ is our only pillar which will never fail
We move, breathe, perceive and experience this world
Yet within it we shall not forever remain
Jesus Christ loves you
Jesus Christ loves me 
Make heaven your eternal home
Accept Jesus Christ as your Personal Lord and Savior
Nothing else really matters
